Types of Partnerships
VAR (Reseller)
These types of partnerships include both software and services. Armanino sells the software licenses to our clients, implements the solution for clients, offers services such as ongoing support or add-on solutions, etc. Some examples of our reseller partnerships include Microsoft, Sage, Workday, etc.
Systems Implementer
These types of partnerships focus on providing services related to a particular software. Armanino does not resell software licenses in these types of partnerships but will implement a solution for a customer, provide ongoing services including managed services or additional future phase work. (These can often be found as dual relationships with software partners where we may be both a VAR and systems implementer roles depending on the particular customer and from where the opportunity is sourced. Examples of our services implementer partnerships include Salesforce and also Sage Intacct (note: we have VAR, services implementer, and console agreements with Sage).
Referral
These partnerships are typically established through mutual agreements to refer clients to a partner and also receive referrals from the partner. We may sometimes pair technical expertise and advisory services alongside a referral (example: OneStream and CFOA). Other times these partnerships cover adjacencies in our clients' needs.
Console / Teaming Agreement / Service Bureau
Many of our console agreements are part of our BOS and CFOA service areas. With these partnerships, Armanino will use a given solution on behalf of our clients. The client may or may not be aware of the particular solution in use on their behalf. The agreements for this are generally referred to as "teaming agreements". Examples of these partnerships include BUCS Analytics, Sage Intacct Accountants Program, and Trullion.
Subcontractor
There are instances when Armanino may require a specific technical skillset or just additional resources within a solution. Additionally, some companies will subcontract their client work to us. (These relationships may sometimes be the starting point to establish an upcoming VAR relationship.)
ISV
An ISV is typically a company that provides an add-on solution to a larger solution. For instance, the Microsoft ecosystem has many ISVs whose functionality enhances the out-of-the-box capabilities of the core Microsoft technology. As an ISV, Armanino provides add-on solutions or integrations to a client's existing solutions. Similar in concept to "reseller" but used in different ways. We are considered an "ISV" for solutions which are our own IP that we sell and implement. Key examples of this include integrations created by our team.
