Adding a Contributor to Hootsuite

In order for members to post on desired social networks at Armanino, they must be part of Hootsuite. Add members to Hootsuite by following the steps below.

1. As an administrator, login to Hootsuite.
2. From the left menu, click on the My Profile icon.
3. Select Manage accounts and teams.
   
   
    
4. Under the Armanino header click on the Members button.
   
   
    
5. In the upper left click Invite Members button.
   
   
    
6. Type in the email address of the user you wish to add along with an optional message and the team you wish to add them to (if applicable).
   
   
   They will now be added to Hootsuite and able to post to the social accounts underneath the Team they were assigned.

Adding a Contributor to an Amplify Topic

In order for members to contribute content to an Amplify topic, they must be a member of Hootsuite (see Adding a Contributor to Hootsuite) AND be assigned as a publisher in Amplify. Follow the steps below to add a member to Amplify as a content contributor.

1. As an administrator, login to Hootsuite.
2. From the left menu, click on the My Profile icon.
3. Select Manage accounts and teams.
   
   
    
4. Under the Armanino Amplify header, click on the Teams button.
   
   
    
5. On the left menu, click on the team the member should be added.
   
   
    
6. Click Add a Member button.
   
   
    
7. Search for the member in the search box then highlight their name and click on the Done button. This will add them to the Team.
   
   
    
8. Click on the Permissions drop-down box under their name and choose Custom.
   
   
    
9. Check the boxes “Manage Team Members” and “Manage Content Library and Assets” in the available options then click Save.

Add a member as a publisher in the Amplify topic.

1. Click on the Streams button on the left-hand menu and click on the Amplify Administrations stream.
   
   
    
2. In the Search members box, type in the person you want to make as a content contributor, then click on their name directly.
   
   
    
3. Check the Content Admin checkbox.
   
   
    
4. Click the Topic Subscriptions Arrow below their name
   
   
    
5. Click on the topic you wish them to be a contributor of, then click on the drop-down box an choose Publisher.
   
   
    
6. Click the Back Arrow twice to finish making the changes.
   
   
    

Sending Posts to Amplify

In order for publishers and authors to be able to send posts to Amplify, they must have the Amplify app installed from the Hootsuite app store. Instruct the user to do the following:

1. On the home screen, click on the profile button and choose Install Hootsuite apps.
   
   
   
    
2. In the search box in the upper right, type in "amplify."
   
   
   
    
3. Click on the Install button to install the Amplify app

You will now have access to send posts to designated Amplify topics that you are permitted to send.
