How to Name Your New Projects in WorkFront:

Project Type - Year Quarter Name

Hyphen, not dash.
Required – in bold.
Not required (but helpful for recurring or annual or duplicate) – not bolded.

Note: No special characters. Only spaces between words and the hyphen. Use a space on both sides of the hyphen.

**In Workfront Project Details overview section “Description” syncs to Marketing Calendar. Do NOT edit this field.

Naming a project should be simple yet descriptive enough so a person viewing the project can understand the project’s intent. Keep in mind that this name will appear in CRM, Eloqua and the marketing activities calendar, so viewers of those applications should be able to understand what the project is by the name. However, do NOT over describe the project in the name as this will just cause confusion.

GOOD Examples:
Alert - 2024 Penalty Relief Tax

Host - 2024 Q1 NBOA Nightcap

Article - 2024 How to Balance Your Finances Properly

BAD Examples:

Alert - Penalty tax alert to ensure our clients know about this new tax change ß too many details

Event - NBOA after main event drinking party Feb. 29 ß oddly descriptive

Article - Finance ß too little information

Think back to your high school or college days and this would be similar to naming your paper. The goal is to ensure there is understanding of what is encompassed in the project.
